A man who is more than familiar with Fox Studio’s X-Men Franchise as a writer (X-Men: Last Stand) and producer (X-Men) will be returning to the fold as a writer for the currently untitled sequel to last summer’s superhero blockbuster from director Matthew Vaughn, X-Men: First Class….
When it was first announced that Fox would be moving forward with the prequel film X-Men: First Class, fans were happy they would be seeing the original team of the children of the atom (Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast, & Ice Man) come together on the big screen. Sadly, more details emerged through out the process of making the film that showed that not only would we not get the whole original first class team in the film, but that only one member would be part of the first to don the iconic uniform, Beast. But Hank McCoy was not enough to heal the wounds of the offended fanboys.
Months past, the filming started with director Matthew Vaughn fresh of his last superhero smash Kick-Ass and the online hate continued. The films short production led to many more concerns about the films quality. But Vaughn kept to his word and delivered a great, and successful chapter in the X-Men franchise. Now Superhero Hype has gotten some big news on a sequel.
SHH have learned that Simon Kinberg, a writer for X-Men: Last Stand, and producer on Bryan Singer’s original X-Men film, will take on the writing duties for the script to First Class’s sequel. This news hits just hours after star Jason Fleming (Azazel) Confirmed a sequel was being written.
