The Immortals Director Tarsem Singh Wants To Adapt Samurai Jack For The Big Screen

Coming into the weekend with a blockbuster action flick debuting that is expected to pull some good cash, director Tarsem Singh took some of his time while promoting his movie The Immortals to express interest in directing the hit Cartoon Network original anime show Samurai Jack…..

While he is waiting on the box office results for his action packed flick The Immortals, which stars Henry Cavill & Micky Rourke, director Tarsem Singh has been promoting the movie.  While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Tarsem expressed interest in adapting the cult Cartoon Network anime Samurai Jack.  Here is Tarsem’s reason of interest in directing the TV shows jump to the big screen:

“It’s brilliant. The speed, it embraces where it comes from. I find that comic strip films are halfway grounded. They don’t play my chord. But I love Samurai Jack. I love the animation… Have them contact me.”

To see Tarsem Singh’s work, you can check out The Immortals, which is now playing in theaters, as well as his retelling of Snow White in Mirror Mirror which hits theaters March 16, 2012.
